The online world is a scary one.  The Internet has the power to disseminate my messages, make me famous, give people the opportunity to obsess over the words I write, or convince them to hate me.  However, due to the nature of communications and natural reluctance of potential employers to give any of us students the time of day, an online portfolio seemed necessary, possibly even crucial to my survival.  From these concerns Written Word was born, and I embrace the online world: friendly strangers, stalkers, potential employers and all.
